Olbia - Facades

The city of Olbia is a center under development accelerated, jumping several intermediate stages, is leaving the marginal role that had until the early '60s for that of the driving forces of the territory of North-East. The expansion of the city, which occurred for later additions, has given rise to an organization around the compact city center, an expansion along the major rivers that denote the characteristic shape of petals, but also to non-harmonic growth, which affects only a few manufacturing and service sectors (mainly tourism related) while others remain outstanding or even discovered.

The idea was to create a district that was self-sufficient from an energy standpoint, however, focusing on individual buildings so that they could work together, thus providing a significant contribution to the community. The topics mainly concern the energy and alternative sources of energy (Energy), the creation of new public and semi public spaces for the population (Demograghy​​), implementation of new systems of urban green space (urban green), the realization of self-conditioning systems inside buildings (climate), new systems of collection and recycling of rainwater and gray water.
